How Botox® & Dysport® Work

Botox® & Dysport® work by injecting a prescribed treatment into your skin to to reduce moderate to severe wrinkles. It can be used to treat causes of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD), as well as symptoms of migraine and tension headaches. Botox effects are temporary and often lasts between three and four months. For best results, repeat treatment is needed.

Botox® & Dysport® help relax your facial muscles and make you look younger by smoothing out your skin. The treatment looks natural without giving you a “frozen” appearance*.

Recovery

A topical numbing cream is applied to your treatment area to reduce discomfort during the injection. After treatment, you may experience some swelling, bruising and a general feeling of tightness. You can alleviate the chances of bruising with homeopathic arnica before and after treatment. Blood thinning agents– such as aspirin, anti-inflammatories, and fish oils – are not advised.

Results

Botox® & Dysport® lasts about 3 to 6 months. For best results, follow up with consecutive treatments.
